The more I think about it, the more I shake my head at the absurd supposition that the statements of political candidates (and pundits) are to be treated as "information." That term would imply that it could be used to order the real world into useful categories.


In general, though, people are too uneducated or lazy to seek that information themselves, which gives politicians power to make the decisions and statements that most benefit them. It's pretty frustrating!
